VicPol have 38 Family Violence Units within Victoria and have been set up to manage all reports of elder abuse. VicPol have prepared a flow chart of what to do if you suspect abuse or if you require a welfare check on an unexplained absence of a guest. You can also ring them for advice on how to handle a situation. The Haven will follow this chart if they suspect an abuse claim is considered in need of a police response.
